About the Role: Senior Flutter Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Flutter Developer to lead a critical mobile modernization effort. This role is central to a major rebranding initiative, focusing on updating, maintaining, and enhancing our core mobile application. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the Flutter ecosystem, with a proven ability to evaluate the long-term scalability and code health of complex mobile applications. You will be responsible for leading the technical execution, refactoring legacy codebases, and ensuring a seamless, high-performance user experience aligned with modern mobile best practices.

Key Responsibilities

•
Mobile Modernization Leadership: Take a leading, hands-on role in the modernization and refactoring of the existing mobile application codebase, ensuring the successful technical transition for the rebranding initiative.

Code Health and Scalability: Analyze, evaluate, and proactively refactor legacy Flutter code to improve application stability, performance, maintainability, and long-term scalability.

•
Development & Optimization: Design, build, and maintain high-quality features using Flutter, ensuring high performance across both iOS and Android platforms.

•
Distribution Management: Oversee and manage the mobile app distribution process, including App Store and Google Play console management, implementation of forced updates, and version control strategies.

•
State Management Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of various Flutter state management solutions (e.g., BloC, Provider, RiverPod) to implement robust and predictable application logic.

Data Handling: Implement advanced techniques for data serialization and deserialization (JSON), including leveraging code generation tools to ensure efficiency and type safety.

•
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend teams, acting as a technical expert to align mobile solutions with business requirements.

Best Practices & Performance: Advocate for and implement mobile development best practices, focusing on performance optimization, security, and exceptional user experience.

Requirements

•
5+ years of professional mobile development experience, with at least 4 years directly focused on building and deploying production-grade applications using Flutter.

•
Proven hands-on experience updating, maintaining, and successfully refactoring legacy mobile applications and codebases.

•
Deep technical understanding of mobile app distribution processes, including effective store management (Apple/Google) and implementing robust forced update mechanisms.

•
Expert proficiency in Flutter state management solutions (e.g., BloC, Provider, RiverPod), and the ability to choose the appropriate pattern for different scenarios.

•
Expertise in JSON data handling, including both manual and automated serialization/deserialization techniques (e.g., using freezed or json_serializable).

•
Strong analytical skills and a demonstrable ability to evaluate complex legacy code for refactoring opportunities.

•
Clear and proactive communication skills, with extensive experience working effectively within cross-functional, agile teams and engaging with stakeholders.

•
Commitment to performance optimization and adherence to core mobile development best practices (e.g., memory management, network efficiency).
