Job Summary The Automotive MPU CAS role is a customer-facing technical position focused on enabling NXP’s advanced MPU platforms (S32G, S32N series) in automotive applications. It bridges design-in support , system-level consulting , and ensuring successful deployment of software-defined vehicle (SDV) architectures. --- Job Responsibilities Customer Application Support Provide technical assistance to OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and partners for NXP Automotive MPU platforms (S32G, S32N series). Design-In Enablement Guide customers through hardware/software integration, including Ethernet TSN, CAN FD, FlexRay, and security engines (HSE, XRDC). System-Level Consulting Advise on zonal gateway architectures, virtualization, and ECU consolidation strategies for SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) programs. Pre- & Post-Sales Technical Engagement Deliver technical presentations, demos, PoC evaluations, application notes, and training materials. Development & Debug Support Assist with boot configuration, DDR setup, multi-core initialization, and validate AUTOSAR/Linux stacks, hypervisors, and real-time drivers. Escalation & Issue Management Follow structured escalation procedures for unresolved technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction. --- Job Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience (+3 years) in embedded software development, preferably within the automotive industry. Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems. Experience with real-time operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS, QNX, AUTOSAR OS). Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay). Experience with microcontrollers/microprocessors, including architecture understanding and peripheral interaction. Proficiency with debugging tools (e.g., JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers). Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
