About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Golang Engineer to lead the development of robust, scalable backend systems and services. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Golang, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for designing high-performance, distributed systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and optimize mission-critical applications.

Location. This role is office-based at our Trivandrum, Kerala office.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Golang.

• Architect scalable, secure, and reliable systems and APIs.

• Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.

• Collaborate with DevOps, front-end, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentorship of junior engineers.

• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.

• Debug and resolve production issues and implement long-term fixes.

• Stay current with new technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in Golang.

• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and microservices using Golang.

• Strong understanding of concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization.

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Experience with message brokers and event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).

• Contributions to open-source Golang projects.

• Knowledge of GraphQL or gRPC.
