About the role

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Data Systems Engineer to support the development and operation of systems that track software usage and manage licensing entitlements. The ideal candidate will bring technical proficiency in Python, data integration, and visualization tools with the ability to collaborate across teams.

What you will be doing

• Assist in designing and developing automated systems for usage tracking, entitlement enforcement, and reporting.

• Build and maintain dashboards and data visualizations that provide insight into product usage and compliance.

• Contribute to the development of ETL pipelines and data workflows for usage and entitlement data.

• Apply machine learning and statistical techniques (with guidance) to detect anomalies and predict usage trends.

• Support database operations, ensuring data is well-structured, queryable, and secure.

• Work with APIs and cloud-based systems to ingest and integrate data from various internal tools.

• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, product managers, and business teams to ensure automation aligns with goals.

• Help maintain and improve the performance and reliability of existing automation and reporting tools.

Required skills and experience

• 5 to 8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or automation roles.

• Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation.

• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, with experience in writing queries and managing data structures.

• Experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., Scikit-Learn) and interest in developing predictive models.

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data services

• Experience working with REST APIs and integrating data from multiple systems.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s a plus).
