How You Will Contribute
In this position, you will be working with our Commercial Consulting team.
The Commercial Consulting team assists organizations – including biopharmaceutical and generic manufacturers, device and diagnostic companies, and financial, legal and investment firms – to maximize commercial success through advanced strategic problem solving, market research, analytics, project planning, and client partnerships. Our specialties include new product planning (NPP), launch, and commercial strategy, and close partnerships with marketing and sales functions at life sciences manufacturers.

About You
Qualified candidates should possess the following experience and qualities:
10+ years of direct and relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech arena
5+ years working in a management consulting firm advising on commercial projects for clients.
Proven track record of meeting annual revenue targets of $3M+
Leadership
Ability to work in a highly fluid, interactive, demanding, matrixed client environment and build strong, successful business partnerships
Identify business development opportunities to expand the current client base and bring new business to the firm
Act as a member of the BU’s leadership team, handling and strengthening our client relationships
Demonstrate ownership of the business and the firm’s growth, thinking of new offerings and ways to improve our current offerings in the market
Ability to generate sales by opening new accounts and growing existing relationships
Consulting Skills
Demonstrated experience in project management; thorough management of project, deliverables, timeline
Understand project process and how work streams fit into project and client objectives
Lead project, capabilities and proposal development by working with project team to provide relevant secondary and primary research; identify gaps in information and guides research
Demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically scope problem solving approach, and manage execution and effectively delegate
Manage up and down to secure timely and appropriate input
Structure and review deliverables
Proactively ensures excellent internal team communication
Ability to understand and directly apply senior feedback in creation of materials and deliverables
Maintain strong, positive relationship with client
Facilitates presentations and workshops
Evaluates secondary research for white space, what is not there
Understand implications of key takeaways from client and internal discussions, external stakeholder discussions
Ability to facilitate primary research interviews or advisory boards, translate feedback into insights for team discussion and strategic recommendations
Prepares project deliverables for review in timely manner and in accordance with Commercial Consulting quality standards
Proven expertise in project management; thorough management
Prepares client-ready project deliverables for senior review in timely manner and in accordance with Commercial Consulting team quality standards
Clear direction of team and provision of feedback on materials, achieving efficiency in delivery
Able to direct projects of limited scope in areas of specialization with minimal senior oversight
Able to act as part of presentation team with appropriate clients
Knowledge
Candidates will have progressively broader and deeper understanding of, and direct experience with, relevant market dynamics across a range of therapy areas
Strong critical thinking skills
Expert knowledge of healthcare market dynamics in major markets (US, EU5, Japan) as well as familiarity with patient, physician, and payer relationships
Experience collaborating with commercial leaders in New Product Planning (NPP), marketing, commercial analytics, and/or sales functions
Solid understanding of relevant disease background and product dynamics
Candidates may have emerging areas of specific expertise (content or project type)
Demonstrated ability to think and plan strategically, identify strategic options and trade-offs, effectively communicate business impact and strategic recommendations
Proficient at Microsoft Office applications, e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel
