Sr. Designer/Designer - Fired Heater

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Designer (10–15 years) specializing in drafting and detailing of Fired Heaters and their auxiliary components. The role requires expertise in 3D modeling, layout planning, and detailing of complete Fired Heater packages, including piping, structural supports, platforms, and ancillary systems. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically strong, and able to collaborate effectively with global engineering teams to deliver high-quality, timely outputs.

Key Roles and Responsibilities::
• Interpret and analyze project specifications with a focus on layout, drafting, and 3D modeling of Fired Heater packages and associated auxiliary systems.
• Prepare and review high-quality engineering drawings, including: General arrangements (GA), Fabrication details, Structural supports and pipe racks, Piping isometrics and sectional drawings, Foundation/interface drawings.
• Ensure designs comply with ASME, ANSI, API, and other relevant industry standards.
• Utilize CADWORKS (2D/3D) or equivalent software to execute, review, and maintain detailed models and drawings.
• Collaborate with lead engineers and global project teams to align design deliverables with technical requirements.
• Participate in model/design review meetings with internal stakeholders and clients; address and incorporate review comments effectively.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (piping, mechanical, civil, and electrical) to ensure design quality and project timelines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers within the team.
• Support project documentation, drawing control, and change management activities in line with company standards.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by engineering leadership.

Qualifications and Skills::
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / I.T.I (Drafting) or equivalent technical qualification.
• 10–15 years of experience in drafting and detailing within the oil & gas / petrochemical / industrial equipment sector.
• Hands-on expertise in Fired Heater design/drafting or similar packaged equipment is highly preferred.
• Design experience in similar process equipment such as Thermal Oxidizers, Waste Heat Boilers are also suitable.
• Advanced proficiency in CADWORKS (2D/3D) or other leading CAD platforms.
• Strong understanding of piping layout, stress considerations, fabrication practices, and constructability.
• Familiarity with global design standards and client specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with global teams and clients.
• Proven organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
