Requirements:
Business Analyst Functional QA

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Analyst (5+ years of experience) with strong QA expertise and hands-on exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will support business requirement gathering, MDM solution enhancements, and perform end-to-end testing activities.

This role requires experience working with Informatica MDM SaaS, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), and data quality processes in an Agile environment. The candidate should be comfortable handling both functional documentation and validation/testing responsibilities.

What You'll Do :
Business Analyst Responsibilities

• Participate in workshops with business stakeholders to build consensus and buy-in on requirements
• Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flow diagrams.
• Define data mapping, match/merge rules, survivorship logic, and validation rules in MDM.
• Participate in Scrum calls.
• Work with Data Governance and Data Steward teams to define data quality rules.
• Suggest ideas on MDM topics and propose potential solutions based on Master and Reference data
• Collaborate with Data Governance Team, Data Stewards and QA team.
• Participate in UAT cycles and production validation support.

Quality Assurance Responsibilities

• Develop detailed test plans, scenarios, and test cases for MDM workflows.
• Execute:

Functional testing

Data validation testing

Integration testing (MDM ↔ upstream/downstream systems)

• Regression testing

• Validate ETL pipelines built in IICS.
• Perform backend testing using SQL queries.
• Conduct match/merge and survivorship validation testing in MDM.
• Log and manage defects in tools such as Jira.
• Perform API testing using Postman.
• Support UAT cycles and production validation.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with strong QA/testing experience.
• 2+ years of exposure to MDM implementations or support projects.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Informatica MDM SaaS/On-Prem
• IICS (data integration, mappings, task flows)
• Strong understanding

• SDLC & STLC
• Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Data lifecycle & governance concepts

• Experience in writing detailed functional and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and defect troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with ticketing systems such as Jira, Service Now, Remedy, etc.
• Experience on Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio diagrams, Flow charts using Lucid or Visio.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation.
• UI integrity (filters, layout)
• Report performance (load time, refresh success)
• Test Strategy/Test planning & Execution/System Integration/UAT/ETL Testing
• Lifesciences Business Analysis and Master Data Management experienced professionals.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
