Role: Senior Cloud Systems Administrator (Azure & AWS)
Overview
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Systems Administrator who brings deep hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure and AWS to manage and scale modern cloud infrastructure. This role is suited for someone who enjoys working in high-availability environments, solving complex infrastructure problems, and improving reliability through automation and strong operational practices.
You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of cloud and hybrid environments, while partnering with engineering, security, and DevOps teams to support business-critical applications.
This role is ideal for someone who has evolved beyond traditional system administration and is comfortable operating in cloud-first, automated environments.
Responsibilities
Manage and optimize Azure and AWS cloud environments, including compute, networking, storage, and identity services
Build and maintain secure, highly available infrastructure supporting production workloads
Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure system reliability
Configure and manage cloud networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, VPN, load balancers, gateways)
Maintain identity and access management policies across cloud platforms
Lead patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management for cloud and hybrid infrastructure
Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
Support automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives using tools such as Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation
Partner with DevOps and engineering teams to enable scalable and secure deployments
Investigate and resolve performance issues, outages, and operational incidents
Required Qualifications
7+ years of system administration or cloud infrastructure experience
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS
Experience managing production cloud environments at scale
Deep understanding of cloud networking, security groups, IAM, and identity services
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, or similar platforms
Strong experience with Windows Server and/or Linux administration
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as:
Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
AWS Solutions Architect or AWS SysOps Administrator
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Experience with container platforms (Docker / Kubernetes)
Exposure to security best practices and compliance frameworks
Experience supporting enterprise-scale or hybrid cloud environments
