Key Responsibilities:
BIM Modelling – Plumbing Systems (Revit MEP)
• Develop and maintain Plumbing Revit models, including:
• Water supply systems: cold/hot water, booster systems, recirculation
• Drainage systems: soil, waste, vent, rainwater, condensate drainage
• Water storage and pumping systems: tanks, sumps, pump rooms, STP/ETP interfaces
• Fixtures and equipment: sanitary fixtures, water heaters, pumps, valves, cleanouts
• Model piping with correct routing, slopes, invert levels, offsets, and connection logic
• Coordinate shafts, sleeves, openings, and penetrations with structural elements
BIM Modelling – Firefighting / Fire Protection Systems
• Develop and maintain Fire Protection Revit models, including:
• Sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action as per design)
• Hydrant / standpipe systems (landing valves, hose reels)
• Fire water tanks, hose cabinets, FHC/FHR locations, test and drain lines (as applicable)
• Apply required clearances, access zones, and constructability standards for installation and maintenance
Documentation & Deliverables
• Prepare and update BIM deliverables across project stages:
• Plans, sections, details, risers, and schematics
• Schedules: fixtures, valves, pipe accessories, equipment, and quantity take-offs (as required)
• Maintain consistency using approved view templates, filters, tags, annotations, and sheet standards
Coordination & Clash Management
• Coordinate layouts with Architecture, Structure, HVAC, Electrical, and other MEP trades
• Perform clash detection and resolution using:
• Navisworks Manage (clash tests, viewpoints, reports)
• ACC / BIM 360 (issue tracking, publishing, approvals – if used)
• Ensure effective coordination for:
• Ceiling zones and headroom
• Shafts, plant rooms, service corridors
• Pipe slopes, drainage routing, and pump room/manifold connectivity
Quality Control (QC) & Standards Compliance
• Conduct self-QC and peer reviews to ensure:
• Model accuracy against latest design inputs and mark-ups
• Correct piping slopes, system classification, connectivity, and parameter data
• Maintain compliance with BEP, company BIM standards, and client requirements
• Proactively identify issues to minimize rework prior to submissions
Content / Family Development & Library Management
• Create, modify, and standardize Revit content, including:
• Plumbing fixtures, valves, fittings, cleanouts, floor drains, and equipment
• Fire protection content such as sprinklers, cabinets, valves, accessories, and pumps
Mentoring & Team Support
• Mentor junior BIM modelers and drafters on:
• Revit best practices, model health, and coordination workflows
• Documentation discipline and submission readiness
