Sr. AI Solutions Engineer

Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check.

Essential Job Duties

The Senior AI Solutions Engineer uses generative AI, analytics, and machine learning to implement pragmatic AI solutions that impact business outcomes. This role involves deep partnership with internal business domains to identify, design, and prototype AI applications and agents that improve key metrics. The engineer exercises a breadth of skills to implement solutions fairly independently, while collaborating effectively as needed. They transform ideas into functioning solutions, using existing tools and platforms to advance automation, analytics, and AI capabilities.

You will:

Develop a deep understanding of internal business domains and their key performance metrics.

Partner successfully with business stakeholders to identify and pursue AI-driven solutions.

•
Design and build experiments, rapid prototypes, and proofs-of-concept.

•
Implement and tune pragmatic AI solutions using existing AI platforms and tools.

•
Provide AI solution design consulting to internal teams and help peers improve their approaches.

•
Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists to enable production-scale deployment of specific projects that require deeper systems development.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

•
5+ years of experience as a data scientist, AI practitioner, software engineer, or technical business systems implementor.

•
Exhibits incisive problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

•
Demonstrates skill in building generative AI applications, including agents, conversational interfaces, machine learning models, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

•
Excellent knowledge of core AI technologies: LLMs, vector embeddings, agents, machine learning.

•
Proven record of driving measurable business impact through technology and analytics.

•
Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL, with Git-based workflows and agentic coding tools.

•
Proficiency in data analysis and machine learning, with a deep understanding of core principles.

•
Experience transforming and using structured and unstructured data.

•
Clear communications (verbal and written) and persuasive leadership skills on technical topics.

•
Ability to work independently across varied technical and analytical domains.

•
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
