Job Description
Coho Consulting Group is seeking a skilled Senior Acquisition Analyst to provide expert acquisition and financial management support for Department of Defense (DoD) programs and initiatives. This role supports all phases of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process, including budget formulation, execution tracking, acquisition package development, financial analysis, and executive reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to support high-visibility programs in a fast-paced federal environment.
This position will mainly work remote with on-site support required as needed in Alexandria, VA.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
• Provide acquisition and financial management support for DoD programs in accordance with PPBE processes, fiscal law, and DoD policies.
• Support budget formulation, execution, tracking, and reporting activities across multiple funding lines and programs.
• Prepare and review acquisition and funding documentation including Purchase Requests (PRs), MIPRs, IGCEs, and interagency agreements.
• Analyze program funding, obligations, expenditures, and burn rates to identify risks, trends, and execution issues.
• Develop reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, briefing materials, and budget exhibits for leadership review.
• Support Program Objective Memorandum (POM), Budget Estimate Submission (BES), and President’s Budget (PB) activities.
• Coordinate with program offices, contracting teams, finance offices, and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing of funding actions.
• Monitor acquisition and financial actions for compliance with DoD regulations, budget guidance, and internal controls.
• Assist with financial reconciliation activities, including tracking Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs) and resolving funding discrepancies.
• Support executive briefings, data calls, audits, and strategic resource management initiatives.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to improve acquisition, budgeting, and resource management processes.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines and mission requirements.
Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in acquisition experience in contracting or program management and/or requirement analysis.
• Experienced in conducting analysis of acquisition issues by gathering information from FAR, DFARS, GAO, and other reports.
• Demonstrated experience across all phases of large‑scale acquisition life‑cycle efforts, including acquisition strategy development, technical evaluation panel formulation and facilitation, cost analysis, development of Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), planning, vendor selection, contract award, post‑award contract and program management, and contract closeout.
Position Pay Range
$135,000—$155,000 USD
