Job Description

Responsible for mapping and organizing SQL Inventory by environment including physical storage

Review and/or create standards for design of database and physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration

Consolidation and optimize Databases into a new data center

Capacity Planning

Physical Architecture Design

Review configurations, database parameters, and logical data models.

Consults with management regarding application alternatives, performance, security, software usage, capacity planning, and backup procedures.

Works with DBA staff to inventory and document existing Databases.

Researches optimal configuration and placement of databases into new data center.

Proficient on SQL server 2005, 2008, and 2012
