Title: SQL Server Developer/Administrator

Location: Downtown Chicago

Duration : 6-12 Months Contract

Must be local Chciago

Overview:

Leads in analysis, design, implementation and testing activities associated with database development, system integration, reporting systems and maintenance.

Experience required:

6+ years of experience with complete Microsoft SQL Server stack o Microsoft SQL Server 2008-2016 o SQL Server Reporting Services o SQL Server Analysis Services o SQL Server Integration Services

• 5+ years T-SQL experience, minimum 2+years MDX • Familiar with SQL Server data replication topologies including transactional and snapshot.

• Familiar with SQL Server performance tuning and physical implementations including indexing strategies, maintenance plans, and partitioned tables.

• Minimum 2+ years PowerShell, Python or similar scripting language

• Familiarity with web services, XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI

• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) • Strong interpersonal communications, time management, organization, decision making and customer service skills.

Focus Area:

Financial reporting from Microsoft Dynamics GP – Review and document existing reporting capabilities and exports. Map requirements to data sources within Dynamics GP. Extend and integrate missing elements into existing Financial data mart where required.  SQL Server Reporting Services/Power BI and SharePoint integration  Add and integrate new data sources into existing data warehouse. Define necessary dimensions, fact tables, load processes and controls
