Position: SQL DBA

Experience: 5 to 7 years

Job Location: Chennai

Position Type: Full time

Qualification: Any graduate

Knowledge and Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator

• Solid understanding of SQL scripting and stored procedures

• Knowledge of database monitoring and performance tuning tools

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Candidates with experience using Azure SQL Instances preferred.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Monitoring of database performance and stability

• Establish the baseline for system performance, recognize deviation, and suggest and implement improvements to slow running queries

• Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.

• Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with the engineering team.

• Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.

• Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions.

Communication:

• Facilitates team and stakeholder meetings effectively.

• Holds regular status meetings / scrum meeting.

• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.

• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

• Astute cross-cultural awareness and experience in working with international teams (especially US)
