SQL Data & Reporting Specialist (m/f/d)

 

As part of our B2P Controlling team, you take ownership of the SQL infrastructure, developing and optimizing complex queries in AWS Redshift to extract, transform, and analyze financial and operational data. You build automated reporting solutions and dashboards in Quicksight and Power BI, turning raw data into actionable insights that drive decision-making across the organization. You collaborate closely with business stakeholders, ensuring your technical solutions support critical processes such as performance analytics, billing, receivables monitoring, and financial reporting. YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

• You own the SQL infrastructure by developing, maintaining, and optimizing complex queries in our AWS Redshift environment, using joins, CTEs, window functions, and aggregations. 
• You build automated reporting solutions, designing and deploying dashboards in Quicksight and Power BI to provide real-time visibility into KPIs, process efficiency, and performance metrics. 
• You dive deep into data by exploring AWS datasets, troubleshooting issues, identifying quality improvements, and building validation logic for reliable analytics. 
• You drive technical improvements by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes, enhance data pipelines, and design scalable analytical solutions. 
• You bridge tech and business by collaborating with Data Engineering, IT, and Finance teams, translating business requirements into effective technical solutions. 
• You stay connected to operations, maintaining hands-on involvement with B2P Controlling processes to ensure your technical work serves real business needs. 

YOUR SKILLS MATTER

• You have strong SQL skills and experience with AWS platforms, particularly Redshift, confidently writing complex queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets.
• You are proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data modeling for rapid analysis and prototyping.
• You have hands-on experience building dashboards and visualizations in Quicksight and/or Power BI.
• You are an analytical problem-solver, enjoying complex data challenges and designing practical, automated solutions.
• You have a collaborative mindset, working effectively with cross-functional teams and balancing technical excellence with business priorities.
• Nice-to-haves: You bring additional strengths such as interest or exposure to finance/controlling/receivables operations, fluency in other languages (German, Portuguese, Spanish), and prior experience in similar business contexts.
