SPOT WELDER
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Reports to: Aluminum and Spot Weld Supervisor
Position Overview:
The Spot Welder is responsible for welding lighting products. They must operate with strong attention to detail and work with a sense of urgency to meet all deadlines without comprising quality of work.
Duties + Responsibilities
Report to supervisor daily regarding order count and specificity and on any machinery in need of maintenance or repair
Weld lighting products as determined and trained by supervisor
Ensure all lighting products are completed with a strong attention to detail and according to customer specifications and deadlines
Inspect all material and set aside extrusion damaged beyond tolerance
Maintain an overall understanding of the processes involved with lighting product manufacturing
Uphold strong quality control standards and comply with all company safety protocols including wearing appropriate safety gear
Ensure that part inventory levels satisfy order needs
Inspect tips of spot weld machine for any potential burn spots
Adjust machine output temperature as needed
Skills + Specifications
Ability to use and read a tape measurer
Comfortability using hand tools including but not limited to power drills, grinders, and sanders
Ability to handle a large variety of tasks with varying levels of complexity without compromising quality of work, attention to detail or deadline adherence
Possess agility and adaptability to work collaboratively and cross departmentally
Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork mentality
Possess strong communication skills
