🎯 Role in a Nutshell

The Sportsbook Risk Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the commercial balance and security of the sports product. This position requires a combination of precise mathematical analysis, deep knowledge of global sports markets, and strategic thinking to minimize losses and maximize profitability.

📌 Key Responsibilities

• Risk & Exposure Management: Monitor real-time betting volume to balance markets and manage critical exposure levels.

• Customer Profiling: Analyze player behavior to segment users, set individual limits, and mitigate professional or arbitrage risks.

• Integrity & Fraud Prevention: Proactively identify organized fraud, bonus abuse, and suspicious betting patterns.

• Market Strategy: Benchmark odds against competitors and localize content to ensure a competitive and diverse sports offering.

• Yield Optimization: Track winning segments and performance data to protect and improve long-term margins.

• Compliance & Escalations: Act as the final point of escalation for complex AML, VIP, and regulatory (e.g., MGA) issues.

• Product & Data Innovation: Collaborate on platform improvements, UI/UX testing, and utilize PowerBI to drive data-led risk strategies.
