The Opportunity

We are looking for a Sports Trading Manager to lead our General Sports Trading function, delivering a high-quality multi-sport trading proposition across a broad range of Sportsbook markets.This role combines leadership, commercial ownership, and hands-on trading expertise within a fast-paced B2B sportsbook environment. Reporting to the Senior Sports Trading Manager, you will oversee sportsbook odds provision across multiple partners and jurisdictions, ensuring competitive pricing, strong margin delivery, and consistent operational performance. You will play a key role in scaling the trading operation, embedding best practices, and strengthening collaboration across Trading, Risk, Product, BI, Account Management, and Sportsbook Support teams.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Operational Delivery

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Sports Traders aligned with company KPIs and operational standards.

Support recruitment and onboarding of sportsbook trading talent.

Provide structured coaching, feedback, and performance guidance.

Ensure appropriate operational resourcing through workforce planning and effective shift scheduling aligned with business demand, legal requirements, and fair workload distribution.

Deputise for the Senior Sports Trading Manager when required.

Trading Operations and Odds Provision

Deliver a competitive multi-sport trading proposition across multiple markets.

Oversee real-time odds provision across pre-match and in-play trading environments.

Ensure event coverage meets partner SLAs and operational expectations.

Monitor feed provider performance, pricing accuracy, and latency, intervening where required to protect competitiveness and margin.

Support manual trading where automated coverage or feeds require intervention.

Risk, Margin and Market Control

Maintain strong alignment between Trading and Risk teams to manage exposure and customer profiling during live operations.

Support implementation of betting limits, stake factoring, and bet noting processes.

Protect sportsbook margin through proactive monitoring and timely trading interventions.

Strategy Execution and Product Development

Collaborate with the Senior Sports Trading Manager on Sportsbook trading strategy execution.

Conduct gap analysis between feed-driven content and internally priced opportunities.

Support onboarding of automated trading content and new sportsbook features.

Partner with Product and Development teams to improve trading tools, models, and operational workflows.

Raise feature requests supported by clear business benefit analysis.

Performance Analysis and Commercial Insight

Develop and maintain profitability reporting across sports and partners alongside BI teams.

Analyse Sportsbook P&L performance, pricing competitiveness, and coverage gaps.

Conduct benchmarking across markets and jurisdictions to identify optimisation opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Partner Support

Work closely with Risk, Sportsbook Support, Account Management, Product, and Content teams to ensure seamless Sportsbook delivery.

Support partner requests and operational queries.

Ensure accurate and timely Sportsbook event presentation across partner platforms.

Resolve trading-related customer or operator issues where required.
