The Debate program

Research. Evidence. Structure - these are the pillars of our debate program. We teach students to build and support arguments, analyze impacts, and master flow, rebuttal, and frameworks. Beyond debate, they learn research, argumentation, and teamwork.

The Debate program takes students from fundamentals to tournament-level strategies, covering current event topics. Dipont organizes tournaments across China, offering local and national competition.

Curriculum

Dipont Education has its own curriculum designed by speech and debate professionals with decades of experience. Speech and Debate classes also prepare students for competition in formats such as Public Forum Debate, Original Oratory, British Parliamentary, World Schools, Model United Nations, Extemporaneous Speaking, as well as others.

Teachers are also given the autonomy to adapt the curriculum to their strengths as a teacher and the needs of a student. We are not a center that expects teachers to just teach straight out of a book!

Your Typical Schedule

This full-time role involves a five-day workweek, including Saturdays and Sundays, with two consecutive days off scheduled between Monday and Friday. You'll balance classroom instruction with dedicated time for lesson planning and student support. Instructors teach all levels, leading to the annual tournament, fostering growth and learning.

• Spring & Fall: Teach up to 20 hours per week, balancing weekday B2B courses at our partner schools with weekend classes at the center.

• Winter & Summer Camps: Focus on center-based teaching, with up to 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
