Position overview

We’re looking for a Specialist, Transport Logistics to support the planning and execution of transportation programs for store operations, new store openings, and renovation projects. Working closely with the Transportation Logistics Manager, this role helps ensure the smooth and cost-effective flow of merchandise, fixtures, equipment, and supplies from suppliers to stores.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation for new store builds and renovation projects with carriers, suppliers, and contractors to ensure on-time delivery.

• Manage transportation costs for store projects, supporting an annual freight budget of about $1M.

• Review transportation expenses and freight invoices, monitor supplier and carrier compliance, resolve billing issues, and recover overcharges.

• Negotiate special rates and services with carriers for project shipments.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners across Canada to ensure smooth coordination of shipments and logistics operations.

• Provide suppliers guidance on shipping, packaging, and loading requirements, and prepare routing and shipping instructions for carriers and internal teams.

• Support distribution rollouts and large shipment programs as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain roles.

• University degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or equivalent experience.

• Bilingual (English/French) to communicate effectively with partners across Canada.

• Experience coordinating domestic transportation and working with carriers and suppliers.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable using Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
