Specialist – Business Process & Risk Control

​The Opportunity: ​ 

As a Specialist in Business Process & Risk Control SOX, you will support Agoda’s control environment by helping teams maintain effective internal controls and compliance practices. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build expertise in SOX, risk control, and process improvement within a fast-paced and collaborative environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to important control initiatives, and gain exposure to a global business.

​​In this Role, you’ll get to: ​ 

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Support process owners and stakeholders in maintaining and improving internal controls

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Assist in documenting business processes, risks, and controls, including process flows and risk assessments

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Help monitor SOX compliance activities and follow up on open action items and remediation plans

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Participate in process improvement and finance transformation initiatives by identifying control gaps and operational inefficiencies

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Support internal and external audit requests by preparing documentation and coordinating with relevant stakeholders

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Track and report on control issues, remediation progress, and key risk indicators

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Contribute to strengthening risk awareness and control ownership across teams

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Assist in reviewing control design and execution to ensure compliance with internal policies and requirements

​​What you’ll Need to Succeed: ​ 

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">3–6 years of relevant experience in audit, compliance, internal controls, risk management, or process improvement

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Good understanding of internal controls, SOX, COSO, or risk management concepts

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Fluency in English

​​It’s Great if you Have: ​ 

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Experience supporting SOX or similar compliance programs

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Exposure to process improvement or finance transformation projects

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Experience working in a multinational, shared services, or tech-driven environment

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">Familiarity with systems such as Oracle, Workday, SAP, or similar platforms

• p]:inline" data-streamdown="list-item">A proactive mindset and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment
