Elementary Classroom Teacher
Reports To: Academic Director
Primary Function: Design and deliver individualized instruction to students by adapting general education lessons to meet their specific needs; Collaborate with general education teachers and other professionals to ensure students receive appropriate support and access to the curriculum.
Hours: M-F; 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Start Date: July 29, 2026
Anticipated Salary: $58,000 - $80,000

Requirements
Educational Level: Bachelors of Science in education or related education field.
Certification/License Required: Colorado Teaching License, Special Education Generalist Endorsement required.
Experience: K-8 special education experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong classroom management, written, and verbal communication skills are required. Core Knowledge scope and sequence experience preferred

Essential Duties
Develop and deliver individualized and small-group instruction based on students' IEP goals and academic standards
Provide support in inclusive classroom settings, facilitating accommodations and modifications
Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet the needs of students with disabilities
Collaborate with IEP teams to create, review and revise Individual Education Programs for students
Communicate regularly with families to provide updates on progress and involve them in the IEP process
Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and maintain accurate and up-to-date records
Work closely with general education teachers to support the inclusion of students with disabilities in mainstream classrooms
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training related to special education practices and compliance
Coordinate with school counselors, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive support
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Colorado Department of Education (CDE) requirements
Maintain positive and proactive communication with members of the PCK community
Model positive character traits in all aspects of the job
Perform other duties as assigned by administration
Demonstrate professionalism in all job related areas
Actively participate in on-going trainings at the district level and and on-site learning opportunities
Maintain detailed documentation of services provided, student progress, and IEP compliance

Anticipated Salary and Benefits
The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $58,000-$80,000, depending on experience and skill level.
