Special Education/ABA Classroom Trainee

A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IS REQUIRED.

Comprehensive Learning Center (CLC) is a private school for individuals with autism, aged 3 – 21, with a mission of helping each student maximize his/her potential in all areas of life. CLC provides instruction and intervention based exclusively on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

The Instructional Trainee works 35 hours per week in a classroom/school setting delivering state-of-the-art intervention to students either one-to-one or in small groups, based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. The Instructional Trainee works as part of a team of classroom staff and receives continuous, hands-on training by a dedicated Trainer, who is onsite daily, with multiple years of experience in ABA/autism intervention, Special Education Certification, and/or a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Professional Development is ongoing and opportunity for advancement is available to all Instructional Trainees based on performance and program/student needs.  A BACHELOR'S DEGREE IS REQUIRED.

Responsibilities and Duties

Implements educational and behavioral programming for students with autism based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

Collects daily educational and behavioral data for one or more students

Prepares necessary instructional materials

Contributes to the IEP process

Attends and participates in:

Module meetings

Regular Staff Meetings

Back to School Night

All Relevant Training Workshops

Pre-Service Training

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required; specialization in psychology, education, special education, or related field preferred

Minimum of one-year experience providing educational and behavioral services to individuals with autism utilizing applied behavioral analysis preferred

Requirements:

Current automobile insurance, valid driver’s license, and acceptable driving record

PA State Police, FBI and Child Abuse acceptable clearances

CPR/First Aid/AED certifications

Job Type & Schedule: This is considered a full-time position. The Instructional Trainee schedule is 37 hours per week during the 180-day school year and 29-day summer session (ESY) as follows: Monday – Friday 8 am to 3 pm Job Type: Full-time Benefits:
