Job Description

About Woven by Toyota
Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. Inspired by a legacy of innovating for the benefit of others, our mission is to challenge the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation — expanding what “mobility” means and how it serves society.

Our work centers on four pillars: AD/ADAS, our autonomous driving and advanced driver assist technologies; Arene, our software development platform for software-defined vehicles; Woven City, a test course for mobility; and Cloud & AI, the digital infrastructure powering our collaborative foundation. Business-critical functions empower these teams to execute, and together, we’re working toward one bold goal: a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all.

TEAM
Toyota is redefining what it means to move. We're challenging the current state of mobility by enhancing the movement of people, goods, information and energy. Centered around three core concepts - A Living Laboratory™, Human-Centered, and Ever Evolving City™ - Woven City serves as a test course for mobility to fulfill our purpose of well-being for all.

We do this by bringing together a diverse community of people with a shared passion for the future of mobility to co-create, develop and refine innovative products and services. This cross-section of social infrastructure, mobility, and people provides a unique opportunity for inventors, residents and visitors to interact seamlessly with new technologies throughout daily life in an environment that emulates a real city.

Our "Spatial Information Solutions" team is responsible for developing, managing, and promoting the use of spatial information that supports a wide range of pilot projects, development activities, and city operations in Woven City.
The spatial information required in Woven City is not just simple 3D geometry data; it also includes detailed attribute and location information for each element, enabling it to serve a wide variety of engineering purposes. Since engineering use cases are at the core, it is essential that the data remain consistent with the actual buildings and infrastructure of the city. The information must be constantly updated to reflect changes in the real world. In addition, it needs to be machine-readable, designed for computer-based processing.

As the information infrastructure of Woven City, which is built on the principle of "co-creation," spatial data must be centrally managed. By ensuring that all Woven City stakeholders access the same shared information, we enable the interoperability of development outcomes and services. Moreover, having everyone use accurate information helps eliminate unnecessary rework and inefficiencies caused by incorrect data.

It is also crucial to create an environment where spatial information can be accessed by all stakeholders in a timely and seamless manner. Each user should be able to extract only the information they need, in the format that best suits their purpose.

Through these efforts, our team continues to contribute to ensuring that Woven City functions effectively as a living laboratory for real-world experimentation. By joining us, you will take part in building the core information infrastructure of the city—work that is mission-critical, highly impactful, and deeply rewarding.
