Job Description

Vanderlande is seeking a talented, business-minded college student to join our Spare Parts Team for North America. As an Intern you will be exposed to the day to day operations of the Spare Parts Team along with being given a number of specific tasks / projects to elevate your knowledge of Spare Parts Logistics, and the ways of Vanderlande.

The Spare Parts Intern will support the Spare Parts Team in maintaining and expanding a large, multi-supplier parts catalog. This role focuses on supplier outreach, quote management, and cross-functional collaboration, providing hands-on exposure to supply chain operations, product data, and internal reporting processes within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support the sourcing and quotation process for spare parts by coordinating outreach to a large and diverse supplier base across an extensive parts catalog.
• Request, track, and organize supplier quotes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely follow-up.
• Maintain and update internal documentation, pricing records, and supplier information in accordance with team standards.
• Collaborate closely with the internal Spare Parts Team to support daily operations and ongoing initiatives.
• Partner with the Product Marketing team on ad hoc reporting, data requests, and follow-up activities related to parts and catalog information.
• Assist with process improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies or gaps in data, communication, or workflows.
 

Qualifications:

• Currently at least a Sophomore or Junior in an undergraduate bachelor’s degree program
• Available to work 20-30 hours per week and complete entire assignment.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Requirements:

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of data and repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly when working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Comfortable working with Excel and data tracking tools; experience with large datasets is a plus.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams.
