Elementary Classroom Teacher
Reports To: Academic Director
Primary Function: Provide Spanish language and cultural instruction to students in grades K-8.
Hours: M-F; 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Start Date: July 29, 2026
Anticipated Salary: $58,000 - $80,000

Requirements
Educational Level: Bachelors degree
Certification/License Required: World Language Certification preferred
Experience: Successful prior teaching experience in an elementary and/or middle school.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient in Spanish and English, with strong skills in reading, writing, and speaking. Experienced in teaching students across a wide range of age groups, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in the classroom. Skilled in integrating technology into lesson plans to provide learning tools, materials, and resources. Committed to instructing students effectively and monitoring their progress in language acquisition.

Essential Duties
Plan, organize, and deliver a Spanish language program that guides and encourages students to explore a new language and develop the skills necessary to apply the language in a variety of ways.
Implement instruction that aligns with the Colorado World Language standards, by grade level, and with well-established high school placement requirements.
Command of the Spanish Language to a DCSD 3 level.
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development, preparing required reports on students and activities in Infinite Campus.
Responsible for fostering a culture of excellence and high expectations in the classroom by effectively managing student behavior and maintaining discipline in alignment with PCK’s rules and disciplinary policies.
Mark, grade, and provide written, verbal, and diagnostic feedback; input grades and produce report cards and other evaluative tools.
Maintain strong communication with parents by email, phone calls, or in-person conferences.
Must be able to work in a team, communicating and cooperating around lesson plans and sharing of materials.
Attend all staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and department meetings as scheduled.

Anticipated Salary and Benefits
The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $58,000 - $80,000 depending on experience and skill level.
