The Williston Northampton School is an independent co-educational boarding and day
school in Easthampton Massachusetts and is a culturally diverse educational community
serving grades 7-12. We are seeking a full-time Spanish Teacher for the 2026-27
school year. This position is responsible for teaching four sections of Spanish in levels ranging from Spanish I through AP Spanish Language + Culture. The Spanish Teacher is responsible for planning and developing course content to ensure the quality and continuity of the curriculum. This position includes involvement with two seasons of our afternoon athletics and extracurricular activities as well as student advising. Living on campus and working in the School’s residential life program may also be an option with this position. Driving a school minibus is an expectation of this position.
Strong candidates will have middle or high school Spanish teaching experience, preferably within an independent boarding school environment. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, an advanced degree is preferred. The candidate will demonstrate a passion for the Spanish language and culture, a capacity for working with a range of learning abilities, experience integrating educational technologies into the teaching environment, creativity, and strong writing and communication skills. Candidates must possess the flexibility, energy, commitment to teamwork, and appreciation for adolescents that life in an independent school boarding community requires. Candidates must be able to successfully complete the state-mandated CORI, as well as SORI, a general background check, and a fingerprint-based criminal background check. Candidates must also hold a valid driver’s license.
