Space Operations Instructor

Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking an Orbital Engagement Instructor to join our team at Vandenberg SFB, CA. This position will develop, implement, validate, and maintain training and course material at the 533rd Training Squadron (533 TRS), Vandenberg SFB CA for the Enlisted/Officer Undergraduate Space Training courses.

What you'll be doing::
• Prepare space professionals to operate spacecraft and command crews to accomplish satellite engagements during contested operations to ensure mission accomplishment
• Provide classroom instruction consistent with Instructional System Development (ISD) satisfying government training requirements
• Interface with internal and external agencies as required maintaining up-to-date training program
• Conduct, manage and qualify for courses based on 533RD TRS instructions and other guidance as identified in the lesson plans
• Coordinate instructional activities with the Division Chief, training managers and government training personnel
• Additional duties as assigned

What you'll need::
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution or 8 years of additional experience may be substituted for education requirements
• 6 to 8 years of experience with USAF training, to include planning and delivering instruction in accordance with the ISD model and training records keeping
• Possess working knowledge and experience with training systems and training programs
• Possess working knowledge of and experience with operational level command and control
• Possess expert knowledge of orbital mechanics (Classic orbital elements)
• Demonstrated experience with orbit determination and analysis, maneuver planning, Rendezvous Proximity Operations (RPO) and space surveillance
• Expert knowledge with mission planning, building, and executing orbital maneuvers to defeat terrestrial-based and space-based attacks
• Completion of Air Force Instructor Course preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
• Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required

In compliance with California's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $150,000-$165,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
