We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at MAM London, Novotel London Blackfriars. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and contributing to the overall success of our dining experience.

• Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff
• Ensure consistent food quality and presentation across all dishes
• Supervise and participate in food preparation, cooking and plating
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to improve their skills and efficiency
• Assist in cost control measures, including minimising food waste and optimising ingredient usage
• Contribute to menu planning and recipe development
• Ensure the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained by the entire Kitchen team to meet Health & Safety regulations and HACCP food preparation guidelines

• At least 3 years of experience in a senior role within the kitchen department, preferably in a hotel or midscale restaurant setting
• Proven experience in kitchen management and staff supervision
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus

Salary:

£38,000 per annum + monthly service charge

Eligibility: The successful candidate must already have eligibility to work in the UK.
