We are looking for passionate and skilled culinary professionals to join our team in Stowe, catering to a diverse and vibrant dining scene. Our aim is to attract talented Sous who share our commitment to excellence in food quality, creativity, and teamwork.
Holroyd Howe is one of the UK’s leading contract caterers, providing fresh innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges. We are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision specifically to suit children of all ages to meet the bespoke requirements of each school.

Sous Chef:
• Support Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
• Motivate the team to deliver high standards of food and service
• Ensure food safety and allergen controls and constantly met
• Contribute to innovative menu planning
• Manage mise en place and ensure smooth, timely service
• Support events and functions alongside school life
Junior Sous:
• Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen team.
• Contribute to creating modern, fresh dishes.
• Ensure high standards in food preparation and presentation.
• Oversee kitchen operations and inventory management.
• Prepare meals for hospitality services and events.
Apprentice Chef:
• A keen interest in cooking and professional catering
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred) – if not already achieved, support will be provided to complete these as part of the apprenticeship
• A willingness to learn and work towards a Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship
• A strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and commitment to training
