Responsibilities
• Assist in menu planning and preparation of high-quality Italian dishes.
• Oversee kitchen operations and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
• Support the Head Chef in training, mentoring, and supervising kitchen staff.
• Ensure that all food safety regulations and sanitation practices are followed.
• Manage inventory, including ordering and controlling stock levels of ingredients.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal menus and special dishes.
• Assist with kitchen administration tasks as necessary.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Italian restaurant or similar culinary environment.
• Proven experience in a Sous Chef role or as a Chef de Partie.
• Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and its culinary techniques.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
• Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Willingness to relocate to DRC for this position.
