Sourcing Manager; Supply Chain Project Manager

Our client is a premier supplier to the console video game industry that focuses on providing top quality product offerings and strives for customer satisfaction. This role will be responsible for pushing the envelope in sourcing strategies as well as manage procurement to strong cost savings goals. While working with many aspects of the business the Sourcing Manager will need to wear many hats and have experience with small to mid-size organizations.

Ideally my client would like someone that has toy, video game or entertainment industry experience where they have helped source throughout the product all raw materials, components and capital equipment to make memorabilia for the client companies. This could include characters, themes, toys or products for well known video game or toy companies.

Job Description:
Lead a project from start to finish by taking product design idea to the internationally sourced manufacturing partner and take it from start to finish in order to have finished product completed in most cost conscience beneficial way for our end clients.
Develop and lead sourcing strategies to drive cost saving initiatives for raw materials, finished goods, and capital equipment.
Understanding and ability to generate purchase orders to suppliers and clients
Design and execute the strategic sourcing initiatives, including market analysis, strategy development, management of requests for proposal, and supplier negotiations
Assess vendor capabilities and assess through vendor visits (international travel required); vendor qualification and negotiation is key.
Work with all functions of the business and be able to find and resolve issues throughout the organization

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related field
4-6 years of Procurement experience
Be able to travel to suppliers in China as well as travel to end client to ensure smooth delivery and communication throughout the process.
Excellent communication skills and strong business partnership abilities
International supplier experience, China preferred
Experience in a small to mid-size industrial or manufacturing organization
