West Virginia Junior College is seeking an experienced and motivated Sonography Program Director to lead the development and launch of a new Sonography/Ultrasound Program. This innovative program is designed to address the growing workforce need for skilled sonographers across West Virginia through a flexible hybrid-online delivery model.

About the Program
The Sonography Program will combine engaging online instruction with hands-on clinical education through partnerships with local healthcare providers. This model offers students meaningful, real-world experience while supporting today’s working learners and meeting the needs of the healthcare community.
Position Responsibilities
The Sonography Program Director will be responsible for:
Leading the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the Sonography program
Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and industry best practices
Overseeing curriculum development, faculty, and clinical partnerships
Supporting student success through academic and clinical excellence
Collaborating with internal teams and external healthcare partners
Required Qualifications
Baccalaureate degree or higher
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification, with appropriate credential(s) in one or more of the following concentrations: Abdominal, OB/GYN
Three (3) years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer
Teaching experience in an accredited sonography program, either as an appointed faculty member or a clinical preceptor
Full-time position, core hours 8am-4pm. PTO available, no insurance benefits. Required to live within a commutable distance of lab/clinical locations in West Virginia.
