Sommelier
In this position, you will be expected to create wine lists, recommend wine pairings, educate staff and you will play a crucial role in curating and presenting exceptional wines to our guests, enhancing their overall dining experience. Your passion for wines, attention to detail, and commitment to guest satisfaction will be central to our beverage service.
Duties and Responsibilities
Curate and maintain an extensive wine list for the restaurant of the venue
Provide wine recommendations and pairings to guests
Train and educate restaurant staff on wine knowledge and service
Order and manage wine inventory
Ensure proper storage and handling of wine
Collaborate with Chef to create wine pairing menus
Attend wine tastings and events to stay up-to-date on industry trends
Provide excellent customer service and enhance guest experience through wine service
Requirements and Qualifications
Proven working experience as a Sommelier for minimum 2 years in 5* Hotels or High-End Restaurants
WSET level 3 or equivalent certification
Excellent knowledge of wine, wine regions, and varietals
Ability to create wine lists and pairings that complement the menu
Fluency in English
Degree/Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism would be a plus
Additional languages will be considered a plus
Computer literacy
