Role Overview

We are building a production-grade Voice AI platform used by B2B clients in real-world calling workflows. This role is for a hands-on engineer who owns implementation, deployment, and reliability of voice AI solutions.

You will work closely with the founder and take ownership of turning the core platform into working, scalable client deployments.

This is not a sales, account management, or support role.

Requirements:
What You’ll Do

Solution Implementation • Implement client-specific voice AI workflows (call flows, retries, fallbacks, escalation logic) • Configure and manage telephony providers, numbers, schedules, routing, and throttling • Integrate CRMs and internal systems via APIs and webhooks

Prompt & Flow Engineering • Convert prompts and scripts into versioned, testable configurations • Add guardrails for intent handling, tool failures, and edge cases • Safely deploy and rollback prompt or flow changes

QA, Monitoring & Reliability • Build automated QA pipelines using call transcripts and metadata • Track and improve key metrics (connect rate, completion rate, success rate, cost per call) • Set up monitoring, alerts, and basic incident response

Platform Feedback • Identify recurring client issues and convert them into reusable platform improvements • Reduce manual intervention through better tooling and automation

Technical Requirements

Must-Have • Strong backend engineering skills (Python or Node.js) • Experience with APIs, webhooks, and async/background jobs • Comfortable debugging production systems end-to-end • Working knowledge of databases (Postgres or similar)

Nice-to-Have • Experience with voice systems, STT/TTS, or real-time pipelines • Familiarity with telephony platforms (Twilio, Exotel, etc.) • Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting • Startup or high-ownership environment experience
