The Solutions Design Lead at Omya is responsible for designing and implementing innovative, cost-effective, and customer-centric solutions aligned with the company’s digital transformation strategy. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to address business needs and achieve strategic objectives. We are specifically looking for a Manufacturing Execution Solutions Design Lead for our industry, covering mining, bulk, and packed goods in a batch processing environment. The position will be part of the Solution Designers team.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:
MES Feature Design: The lead defines Manufacturing Execution System (MES) functionalities tailored to various domains such as mining, packaged goods, and tank/bulk operations, ensuring support for production scheduling, inventory control, and real-time visibility.
Process Mapping and Optimization: The position involves mapping manufacturing processes to MES workflows, identifying digital opportunities to reduce waste, improve throughput, and enhance quality across different manufacturing sectors.
Stakeholder Engagement and Compliance: The role includes conducting workshops to gather requirements, translating operational needs into MES design specifications, and ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards, including data integrity and validation.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Monitoring MES usage, proposing enhancements, staying updated with digital manufacturing trends like IoT and AI, and recommending innovations to improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability are key responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing frameworks, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 5 years of experience in solutions design and implementation, preferably in a digital transformation context.
Proven track record of designing complex and innovative solutions that meet business needs and strategic objectives.
Strong knowledge and experience in applying technology service management, agile, lean, and DevOps principles and practices for solution design and implementation.
TOGAF; Project management; SixSigma; ITIL – is a plus
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with culturally diverse audiences and stakeholders.
Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented, with a passion for innovation and customer-centricity.
