Solutions Architect

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our UniQue team.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Analysis of the integration of different information systems.
• Data analysis and data modelling.
• Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture.
• Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers.
• Production of software architecture documents.
• Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
• Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting.
• Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture.
• Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud.
• Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components.
• Define and enforce architecture standards, design principles, and best practices across development teams.
• Own the design of cloud-native and hybrid architectures, including migration strategies from on-premise systems.
• Lead architecture reviews, risk assessments, and technical governance processes.
• Guide teams on API strategy, service contracts, versioning, and lifecycle management.
• Define and oversee data architecture, including data modeling, data flows, and consistency strategies.

Requirements:
What do you need to succeed in this position?

• Master’s degree in IT with minimum 13 years of professional experience (or Bachelor’s degree with minimum 17 years of experience).
• At least 5 years of experience as a solutions /enterprise architect.
• Proven experience in enterprise-level architecture design and governance.
• Strong expertise in Java (JEE / Spring ecosystem) and backend system design.
• Deep understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native design patterns.
• Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and architectural patterns.
• Expertise in API design and management (REST, SOAP).
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous communication (Kafka, JMS).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Solid understanding of data architecture, relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with interoperability technologies (web services, message oriented middleware, event architecture) and system integration patterns.
• Strong knowledge of security standards (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, TLS, secure APIs).
• Familiarity with gRPC and Protobuf.
• Nice to have certifications: Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP) certification, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
• Advanced English (C1) communication skills (written and spoken) and French skills (C1) will be considered an asset.
