A Solutions Sales Engineer I serves as the subject matter expert (SME) in all vertical markets, representing Nomad externally through knowledge and technical expertise, as well as developing Nomad internally through advanced engineering techniques and blueprints. This position anchors every action and interaction to the “Four Pillars” that define what Nomad and our customers value most: Safety, Simplicity, Security, Reliability
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITY:
Strategic Support
Serve as SME in all vertical markets, communicating Nomad solution offerings to customers and necessary parties.
Serve as SME in industry best practices and innovation for both internal and external consulting.
Drive and maintain innovation as the go-to sales technical advisor.
Create and implement engineering modeling packages and design improvements as needed or desired to support Sales efforts.
Act as liaison in sales process for complex and technical requirements.
People
Define and develop advanced drawing packages and technical data for sales verticals and/or proposal packages.
Assist in the training of sales team members on the technical aspects of Nomad’s products.
Work with proposal team to meet proposal deadlines.
Maintain accurate, standard engineering drawing packages for effective, seamless sales selling.
Work in close collaboration with vertical sales leads to understand customer requirements.
Facilitate reviews of sales packages to ensure continuity with Nomad standard modules.
Research, develop and modify products to meet customers technical requirements and needs.
Develop solutions that are customer mission driven.
Identify areas of improvement and provide critical feedback to senior staff concerning standards, innovation, processes, etc.
Independently and collaboratively be proactive in research and development of Nomad product development.
Effectively capture client needs for future product enhancements.
Regularly review sales process improvements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Professional office environment with regular interaction with guests, clients, team members, and vendors.
Typical indoor manufacturing environment. Noise level is usually moderate. Safety glasses and closed-toe shoes are required when on the production floor.
Everyday workwear must be business casual/smart casual and appropriate for the office environment.
Subject to temperatures fluctuations if/when job duties require time on the production floor.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A post-secondary degree in Engineering, or other relevant field of study
3+ years’ in Engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
2+ years’ experience in SolidWorks 3D Design Software.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Willingness and ability to travel for 30% of responsibilities; must possess valid US driver’s license and passport.
