Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Solution Lead to join our growing Data and AI practice. As part of this role, you will act as the technical authority designing and delivering end-to-end data solutions that are innovative, scalable and aligned to the needs of our clients.
The successful applicant will have a strong technical background in data across multiple disciplines with expertise in Cloud Platforms, Data Warehousing/Lakehouse design and Data Engineering.
Responsibilities
Define and communicate the technical and architectural visions for solutions
Lead technical solution design from discovery through to implementation
Define and articulate solutions or architecture that balance client objectives with technical excellence
Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders
Ensure that concepts and approaches are articulated and understood by both technical and non-technical audiences
Guide the solution approach to ensure performance, scalability, security and other quality standards are met
Lead pre-sales technical discovery and contribute to proposals
Develop solution patterns, architectural standards, and reusable frameworks
Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies
About you
5+ years in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Analytics Engineering or related data disciplines
Deep expertise in modern data platforms (Databricks, GCP, Snowflake, Data Factory, Azure SQL)
Proven experience designing Data Lakehouse architectures (i.e. Medallion)
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data transformation tools (DBT, Spark)
Strong understanding of data modelling (Kimball, 3NF, Data Vault, dimensional)
Track record leading complex data transformation projects
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams (Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Analysts, BI Developers)
Senior-level stakeholder management and client-facing experience
Design authority experience, making final decisions on solution design
Takes ownership of complex technical challenges and finds innovative solutions
Capable of quickly understanding client context and demonstrating expertise in their business
Confident communicating complex ideas to both business and technical audiences
Knowledge and experience of the following would be advantageous:
Experience in telecommunications, healthcare, or financial services - advantageous but not essential if you can demonstrate applicable skills across industries
