The Experience

The Solution Engineer, Retail and Consumer Goods, is part of the Swiss pre-sales organisation at Salesforce. In this role, you will work directly with customers to demonstrate the power of the Salesforce platform — bridging technology features to quantifiable business outcomes and guiding C-suite and IT decision makers through complex conversations across the full sales cycle.

We are looking for a Solution Engineer who brings proven, hands-on Salesforce experience, deep technical acumen, and a genuine passion for AI innovation — someone who thrives in a collaborative, high-performance team environment and is energised by helping customers solve their most pressing business challenges.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

• Build and deliver tailored product demonstrations, technical deep-dives, Proofs of Concept (PoC), and engaging workshops that showcase the value of the Salesforce platform within customer environments, and respond effectively to Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and Requests for Proposal (RFP).

• Serve as a credible trusted advisor to IT and business decision makers — articulating how Salesforce fits into their enterprise architecture, proactively overcoming technical objections, and instilling confidence throughout the sales cycle.

• Partner with Account Executives and an internal team of pre-sales colleagues and partners to orchestrate a cohesive customer experience, progressing deals through complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments.

• Stay at the forefront of Salesforce's evolving portfolio and AI capabilities — committing to continuous learning, certification, and the active use of AI tools in your daily work to augment your impact and remain at the cutting edge of innovation.

You're Our Person If...

• You have 3 or more years of experience in a solution engineering, technical consulting, implementation, integration, or equivalent customer-facing technical role, with proven hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform including architecture, integration, and data management.

• You are technically sharp and naturally curious — you enjoy exploring and tinkering with new technologies, and are an active user of AI tools including large language models (LLM) and coding assistants.

• You are fluent in English and German (spoken and written) and are based in the German-speaking part of Switzerland.

• You are a strong collaborator who brings energy and joy to team environments, with the ability to engage credibly across both technical and business audiences up to C-suite level.

Even Better If...

• You hold one or more Salesforce certifications, and have experience working with or implementing solutions in the Retail or Consumer Goods industry.

• You are proficient in Swiss German, and have familiarity with the specific business challenges and technology landscape of Swiss enterprise customers.
