About the role

Tietoevry is strengthening its position as a strategic partner to the public sector, helping agencies and municipalities achieve measurable business outcomes through digitalisation. As a Solution Consultant for Public 360˚, you will play a central role in this journey.

This role combines public sector domain knowledge, strong consultancy skills, and commercial acumen. You will lead customer discovery, help define the right problems to solve, and translate complex business challenges into value-based solution concepts built on Public 360˚.

You will work proactively across the customer lifecycle — from early sales engagement and opportunity shaping to adoption, expansion, and long-term value realization. The role goes beyond implementation and product expertise; it is about influencing outcomes, driving business development, and positioning technology as a strategic enabler.

 

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to public sector customers, engaging stakeholders across business, IT, and management levels.
• Lead consultative discovery and problem framing, helping customers move from described symptoms to clearly defined business challenges and priorities.
• Analyze customer needs with a strong understanding of public sector core processes, governance models, and regulatory context.
• Translate business objectives into scalable solution designs and configurations, aligned with product strategy and long-term sustainability.
• Shape and articulate value propositions and solution narratives that balance customer outcomes with commercial objectives such as revenue, margin, and long-term account growth.
• Lead and support change enablement and adoption, anticipating resistance and ensuring sustained usage beyond go-live.
• Manage consultancy engagements with shared responsibility for scope, budget, delivery margin, and revenue targets, including proactive risk identification and trade-off management.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, Product Management, Development, Customer Success, Delivery) to ensure aligned outcomes and continuous improvement.
• Proactively support and influence sales and business development, including:• Early customer dialogue and opportunity shaping
• Business-oriented workshops and discovery sessions
• Demos, solution design, and value-based storytelling

• Identify and drive growth opportunities through add-on sales, upselling, and expanded usage, both during and after implementation.

 

Desired background and experience

• Experience from the public sector, such as:• Consulting or advisory roles working closely with public sector organisations and/or
• Public agencies, municipalities or similar,

• Strong understanding of central public-sector business processes, such as case and document management, governance, compliance, and digitalisation initiatives.
• Experience in consultative, advisory, or solution-oriented roles where discovery, stakeholder alignment, and influence were key.
• Proven experience supporting or driving sales processes, business development, or strategic customer dialogue.
• Experience working with enterprise IT systems or productized software solutions in complex organisations.

Strong understanding of business value, cost drivers, ROI, and commercial trade-offs, enabling sound decision-making that supports both customer success and business performance.
• Stakeholder management and influence

Strong communication skills with ability to align multiple stakeholders, influence outcomes without formal authority, and communicate value persuasively through storytelling and clear narratives.
• Commercial and sales-oriented mindset

Skilled in shaping deal strategy, influencing solution scope, identifying expansion opportunities, and positioning value to support customer success as well as business revenue, margin, and long-term growth.
• Change management and adoption leadership

Ability to guide customers through organisational and behavioural change, ensuring sustained adoption and value realization beyond implementation.
• Risk and delivery governance

Experience proactively managing risks, scope, and trade-offs to protect customer outcomes, delivery quality, and commercial targets.
• Cross-functional collaboration and orchestration

Ability to work effectively across sales, product management, delivery, customer success, and development teams, orchestrating contributions from multiple stakeholders to achieve aligned customer and business outcomes. Comfortable acting as a connector and facilitator in complex, matrixed environments
