About the Team

As a member of our diverse and skilled North America Planning Solution Consulting team, you will have the opportunity to communicate and demonstrate the power of Workday's applications to prospects and customers alike. It is this team's job to bring the value of Workday solutions to life and showcase how the world of work can be transformed. Along with working closely with our sales counterparts, this team also sits at the exciting intersection of our Product Management, Consulting Services, Marketing, and Value Management teams, providing exposure to various areas of the business.

About the Role

Workday is looking for a Solution Consultant with Planning expertise to join our Planning Presales team who is passionate about Financial Services & Insurance and/or Healthcare.

Our team demonstrates next generation SaaS applications. You will use your in-depth product knowledge to provide FP&A, Workforce Planning, xP&A and consolidation expertise to the sales team and customers. You will lead discovery workshops with prospective customers to uncover business requirements and value. You will provide authoritative overview and deep-dive product demonstrations and position the unique value of Workday Adaptive Planning. You will conduct executive-level presentations and provide trusted advice and mentorship as a planning subject matter expert. We also assist in responding to RFP’s, participate in Workday events such as webinars, customer forums, and industry conferences and trade shows.

Responsibilities include: 

• The delivery of relevant technical product presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and seminars to end-users, product partners & C-Level Executives alike

• To assist in the closure of sales opportunities by demonstrating a complete understanding of and resolving questions regarding our solution, services, and training.

• To contribute to the qualification of prospects, proposed demonstration criteria, proof of concept system builds and sales cycle closure plans. 

• Supporting all sales, marketing, technical and channel objectives. 

• To assist sales in the response to RFIs 

• Participate in discovery sessions alongside sales to ask qualifying questions and understand pain points, current business processes,  and ideal future state

• Uses in-depth Budgeting-product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations

• Ability to travel up to 50%

About You

Basic Qualifications:

Solution consultant

• 3+ years in planning and consolidation presales, as a planning practitioner, and/or other relevant experience

• 2+ years presenting to C-Level executives

• 2+ years of Financial, Workforce and/or xP&A Planning and Reporting

Sr. Solution Consultant

• 5+ years in planning and consolidation presales, as a planning practitioner, and/or other relevant experience

• 4+ years presenting to C-Level executives

• 5+ years of Financial, Workforce and/or xP&A Planning and Reporting

Other Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, and/or related field or equivalent work experience

• Direct Financial Services & Insurance experience is a nice to have

• Direct Healthcare experience is a nice to have

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects individually as well as working cross-functionally

• Outstanding and dynamic presentation skills 

• Value based selling experience

• Previous presales experience with a Solution/Software company preferred.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $105,000 USD - $157,600 USD
