Solution Architect – Treasury & Transaction Banking

We are seeking a highly skilled Wholesale Banking Architect with deep subject matter expertise (SME) in Treasury and Transaction Banking to drive the architecture, design, and implementation of next-generation digital wholesale banking platforms. The ideal candidate will combine strong business domain knowledge in wholesale banking with technical expertise in Digital Banking, Microservices, APIs, Cloud (AWS), and systems integration.

This role requires working closely with business stakeholders, product managers, engineering teams, and vendors to define and deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions that align with the bank’s digital transformation agenda.

• Define end-to-end architecture for Treasury and Transaction Banking platforms, including payments, liquidity, cash management, trade finance, and capital markets.
• Design modern digital banking platforms leveraging microservices, APIs, and event-driven architecture.
• Ensure architectural alignment with enterprise standards, security, and compliance requirements.
• Act as SME for Treasury (front, middle, back office systems) and Transaction Banking (payments, collections, cash management, liquidity management, trade finance).
• Drive cloud-native adoption on AWS, ensuring scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized architectures.
• Enable API-first strategy, integrating core banking, treasury, and transaction banking with digital channels and partner ecosystems.
• Lead design for surround systems integration (CRM, ERP, regulatory reporting, AML/KYC, risk systems).
• Partner with business teams to translate functional requirements into technical architectures.
• Work with engineering, DevOps, and data teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Manage vendor engagements for treasury and transaction banking solutions.
• Contribute to digital wholesale banking strategy, exploring new technologies (AI/ML, blockchain, real-time analytics).
• Provide advisory on architecture trends in global wholesale banking.

Core Competencies:

• Deep knowledge of Treasury Management (front-to-back office, risk, liquidity, FX/MM, derivatives).
• Strong understanding of Transaction Banking (payments, collections, cash management, trade finance, supply chain finance).
• Familiarity with banking regulations, compliance, and market standards.
• Strong skills in integration architecture – APIs, event-driven, messaging, ESB, iPaaS.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred) – Kubernetes, ECS, serverless, cloud networking.
• Deep knowledge of microservices design patterns, API-first strategy, and API gateways.
• Experience with surround system integration (CRM, ERP, risk, AML/KYC, data warehouses, regulatory reporting).
• Strong vendor evaluation and management skills for treasury and transaction banking systems.

• Degree in Computer science or related field
• 10+ years in banking/financial services, with at least 5 years focused on Treasury and Transaction Banking (Cash Management, Payments, Trade Finance, Liquidity).
• In-depth knowledge of treasury systems ( Finacle Treasury) and transaction banking platforms .
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and market standards (ISO 20022, SWIFT, PSD2, Basel III, AML/KYC).
• Proven experience in enterprise and solution architecture for large-scale banking platforms.
