Solution Architect – SAP S/4HANA - Finance, Controlling, Treasury & Procurement (FI / CO / TRM / SAP Ariba)

We are currently engaging experienced Solution Architects (external consultants) to lead functional and technical solution design within the S/4HANA transformation program. The role ensures consistent alignment of business requirements, architecture design, and SAP best practices across global template development, integration, and deployment phases.
The Solution Architect will work closely with Enterprise Architecture, peer architects, and vendor teams to translate business requirements into scalable, standardized S/4HANA solutions.

Responsbilities:
• Lead functional/technical solution design for one or more SAP S/4HANA domains
• Ensure alignment with the global S4 template architecture and governance
• Translate business requirements into robust solution alternatives and design decisions
• Prepare and validate functional designs, integration specifications and configuration guidelines
• Review vendor solution proposals, challenge assumptions and ensure compliance with architectural principles
• Act as design authority for module-specific areas
• Support cross-stream integration topics (FI–CO–MM–PP–EWM, Master Data Management tool, interfaces, reporting)
• Contribute to RFP/RFI evaluation from a solution perspective
• Ensure that architectural standards, naming conventions, harmonized data models and global template rules are respected
• Support test planning, cutover preparation and hypercare solution validation
• Use UML, BPMN, C4 modelling, architectural views to document solutions
• Design cross-system integrations using standard integration patterns (API, event-driven, IDoc, middleware orchestration)
• Create and validate logical data models, data flow diagrams, interface contracts

Scope Areas (Module-Specific) Finance, Controlling, Treasury & Procurement (FI / CO / TRM / SAP Ariba):
• S4 Finance design leadership (GL, AP, AR, AA, BPC/GR optional)
• Controlling architecture: cost objects, product costing, allocation cycles
• Treasury architecture: cash operations, risk management, BCM
• Consolidation architecture setup (embedded vs 3rd party)
• Integration with Master Data Management tool, group reporting, BI/analytics
• Procurement process harmonization across S/4 and Ariba

Requirements:
• 7–10+ years of SAP Solution Architect or senior consulting experience
• Strong understanding of SAP data model, integration principles and best practices
• Ability to produce high-quality solution documentation
• Experience in large‑scale enterprise transformation programs or project implementations.
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Advantages:
• Experience in global template design and rollouts
• Deep expertise in SAP functional module group (FI/CO/TRM/SAP Ariba)
• S4HANA project experience (template build or rollout)
• Background in multinational corporate environments
• Pharma or life sciences sector knowledge
• Experience with SAP BTP, cloud integration or Master Data Management
• Understanding of analytics, reporting and AI capabilities
