Solution Architect- Defence

We are seeking three experienced Solution Architects to play a critical role in designing and delivering complex technology solutions within a high-impact, mission-driven environment. This role provides technical leadership across large-scale programs, ensuring solutions are aligned to business needs, enterprise architecture, and security requirements.

You will work across multidisciplinary teams, contributing to outcomes that support critical national capabilities while operating in a highly secure and structured environment. Required to hold clearance level of NV2 or TSPV for this initial 12 month contract.

Requirements:
What you’ll do

In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of solution architectures across complex programs and initiatives. You will:

• Develop end-to-end solution designs, system architectures, and technical models that meet business and user requirements
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to multiple delivery teams across projects
• Analyse complex problems and develop solution options, including trade-offs across cost, performance, and scalability
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security standards, and operating environments
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Drive requirements definition, prioritisation, and management across large initiatives
• Oversee system design activities, ensuring both functional and non-functional requirements are balanced
• Contribute to architecture strategy, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring

You are a highly capable Solution Architect with strong technical depth and the ability to influence across stakeholders. You bring:

• Proven experience delivering solution architecture for complex software and systems environments
• Strong background in enterprise architecture, systems design, and requirements management (SFIA-aligned experience highly regarded)
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical direction across multiple teams and projects
• Experience working on large-scale or government/Defence-related technology programs
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and manage complex design challenges
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
• Relevant qualifications in a technical discipline
• The ability to operate in secure environments, including eligibility for high-level security clearance
