We are looking for a highly technical and experienced Solution Architect with strong hands-on expertise in BFSI and Fintech platforms. This role is responsible for designing, governing, and troubleshooting mission-critical, high-availability systems. The ideal candidate combines deep BFSI domain knowledge with modern architecture practices and strong foundational expertise across infrastructure, networking, and databases.

This position plays a pivotal role in translating complex business requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Design & Technical Ownership

• Lead the creation of end-to-end architecture blueprints (conceptual, logical, and physical) and detailed technical design documents for BFSI systems, including Core Banking, Digital Banking, Mobile Applications, and Insurance Platforms.
• Design hybrid architectures integrating cloud-native microservices with legacy on-premise and core banking environments.
• Define and govern non-functional requirements (NFRs) related to performance, security, scalability, availability, and disaster recovery.
• Establish integration patterns and technical standards across platforms and services.

Diagnostics & Performance Engineering

• Conduct deep-dive diagnostics to identify root causes across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Optimize system performance across end-to-end flows—from mobile and digital channels through APIs to backend and core systems.
• Provide expert support during critical production incidents and drive long-term corrective actions.

Infrastructure, Integration & Data Architecture

• Design solutions leveraging strong expertise in on-premise infrastructure, cloud environments, and hybrid deployments.
• Architect secure network topologies including firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, DMZs, and security zones for financial systems.
• Design and optimize database schemas, replication strategies, and high-availability architectures for high-volume transactional workloads.
• Define secure and scalable integration approaches using APIs, messaging, and middleware.

Governance & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the primary technical authority, guiding engineering teams and stakeholders through architectural decisions and trade-offs.
• Govern solution implementation to ensure adherence to approved architectures, standards, and best practices.
• Evaluate, recommend, and onboard appropriate technology stacks, platforms, and third-party solutions.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience, with 3+ years in a Solution Architect or Lead Architect role within BFSI or Fintech.
• Proven experience designing or contributing to digital banking platforms, mobile banking apps, and microservices-based systems.
• Hands-on exposure to core banking platforms (e.g., Finacle, Flexcube, T24) or insurance policy administration systems and their integration patterns.

Technical Skills

• Microservices & Cloud: Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, API Gateways, hybrid cloud architectures on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Infrastructure & On-Premise: Data center infrastructure, virtualization (VMware), networking, storage, and security.
• Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2 – schema design, query optimization, performance tuning, HA/DR.
• Mobile Architecture: iOS/Android/cross-platform architectures, mobile security, backend-for-frontend (BFF) patterns.
• Monitoring & Diagnostics: APM tools, centralized logging (ELK), distributed tracing, performance profiling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Architecture or cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Architect, TOGAF).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of BFSI standards and protocols such as ISO 20022, PCI DSS, SWIFT.
