Our client in the global professional services industry is looking for a Solution Architect – Applications\Data to provide architectural guidance in the selection and design of technology solutions that meet business requirements on modern data platforms. This role performs design reviews and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with established standards and technology roadmaps, works closely with third party vendors to guide externally supplied services, and acts as a specialist by providing expertise and direction to internal teams while supporting the design, configuration, and implementation of solutions.

What you will do:

• Engage in Technical Architecture Review Board activities in a consultative capacity.
• Gather functional and non functional requirements from stakeholders and document them in a requirements traceability matrix.
• Create high level and low level solution design documents including architectural diagrams, components, and interaction models.
• Select appropriate hardware, software, and technology components aligned to business and architectural needs.
• Collaborate closely with application and integration architects to design cohesive solutions.
• Design overall enterprise architecture aligned with industry best practice and future state requirements.
• Determine integration strategy, integration requirements, and interface design specifications for existing and new systems.
• Research and evaluate third party technologies and solutions to support the architecture and overall solution design.
• Ensure solutions meet security standards and compliance requirements aligned with organizational policies and authorization frameworks.
• Conduct performance and scalability analysis and complete non functional requirements assessments.
• Provide cost estimates covering hardware, software, licensing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
• Produce detailed technical documentation including installation, configuration, troubleshooting guides, operational manuals, and implementation roadmaps.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and innovation.
• Build conceptual and logical data models to support application development and analytics.
• Design and oversee ETL processes and data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
• Apply knowledge of Qlik Replicate, SSIS, and Azure Integration Services in integration design.
• Design and integrate Operational Data Store, Operational Data Processing, Operational Data Warehouse, data lakes, and modern data warehousing architectures.
• Design medallion architecture patterns and modern data platforms using Azure Databricks.
• Define data ingestion, storage layers, and operational data flows across the mining value chain.
• Design integration with Syniti DSP.
• Work closely with data engineers, developers, analysts, and business leaders to ensure data solutions meet operational and strategic needs.
• Establish and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.

• More than eight years of practical experience in solution and enterprise architecture.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience designing modern data platforms and enterprise data architectures on Azure.
• Proven experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Integration Services, Qlik Replicate, SSIS, and Syniti DSP integrations.
• Solid understanding of Operational Data Store, Operational Data Processing, Operational Data Warehouse, data lakes, and modern data warehousing architectures.
• Experience designing medallion architectures and enterprise data flows.
• Strong capability in requirements gathering, solution design, documentation, and cost estimation.
• Excellent stakeholder collaboration and technical advisory experience.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, performance, and scalability considerations in enterprise solutions.
• Exposure to ArchiMate v3.2, TOGAF 9 or higher, and Azure cloud environments.
