Better Earth is a leading residential solar installation company committed to making clean energy accessible for homeowners. We're growing fast and looking for skilled technicians to join our field operations team.
The Role
As a Solar Service Technician, you'll install, troubleshoot, and maintain residential solar energy systems. You'll work with industry-leading equipment from Tesla, Enphase, and SolarEdge diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring every system performs at peak efficiency.
What You'll Do
Install residential rooftop and ground-mount solar panel systems
Troubleshoot and repair PV systems, inverters, and monitoring equipment
Service and maintain Tesla Powerwall, Enphase microinverters, and SolarEdge optimizers
Perform system commissioning, testing, and quality inspections
Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and plan sets
Conduct roof assessments and determine optimal panel placement
Complete work orders, service tickets, and field documentation accurately
Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and crew leads on job sites
Follow all OSHA safety standards, NEC code requirements, and company protocols
Deliver excellent customer service and communicate system status to homeowners
What You Bring
2–3 years of hands-on experience in solar installation and/or service
Working knowledge of Tesla, Enphase, and SolarEdge equipment
Strong understanding of electrical systems, DC/AC circuits, and wiring
Ability to read blueprints, plan sets, and electrical diagrams
Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and in various weather conditions
Valid driver's license (required)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Team player with solid communication skills
