The Software Tester will be part of a team of testers and will be responsible for contributing to the project by analyzing applications, systems, and related customer/development requirements and designing and developing corresponding test scenarios. As such, the selected candidate will be:
• Attending requirements analysis working sessions along with design reviews and working sessions, when applicable, to gain a thorough understanding of the intent of the requirements and software system design. This knowledge will be essential for producing and reviewing test plans, test cases and procedures.
• Performing functional and system analysis during test planning.
• Defining the test strategy for customer requirements to include designing, writing, and executing test cases and procedures that define specific test criteria and the expected results to be achieved.
• Designing and developing test plans/procedures and software/hardware configurations for the test production environment based on analysis of the customer’s targeted production environment.
• Performing risk analysis, as needed, along with proposing mitigation strategies.
• Identifying, analyzing, and documenting all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program, application, or set of applications.
• Creating documentation to support the Test Readiness Review (TRR).
• Performing functional and system testing to assure that business requirements are being met while following technical standards.
• Developing, documenting, and executing defective test cases; writing clear, concise and reproducible bug reports and validate bug fixes.
• Interfacing and working closely with development team to call attention to problems, resolving problems, and/or assist in recreating them.
• Verifying and validating resolutions to problems.
• Providing, as required, the distribution of technical status, information and documentation to the Test Manager and test team.
• 5 + years experience in software testing.
• Ability to create test procedures and execute test cases.
• Ability to create documentation to support the Test Readiness Review (TRR).
• Experience with Client/Server systems and User Interface as well as Client Interface testing.
• Must have ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects, handle-changing priorities, be detail oriented, and able to work independently.
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and exhibit demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required as well as ability to obtain an ADPII government background investigation.
• Must be able to travel when needed.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with automated test tools is a plus.
• Experience supporting the Government software process, including support of Development Integration Testing (DIT), System Integration Testing (SIT), System Qualification Testing (SQT), and System Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Experience in any of the following is a plus:
• Military Healthcare IT knowledge/understanding
• TMIP-J System Component (TMIP CHCS, (TC2)
• AHLTA-T
• TMIP Reporting
• Maritime Medical Mobiles (MMM)
• TMIP-J Advanced Integration Manager (TAIM)
