About the Role:
• The Software Tester / Senior Software Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of software applications by designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers to deliver a stable and reliable product.
• The incumbent will report to the Assistant General Manager. The incumbent will have to work as part of a multi-functional team, and this involves collaboration with the internal team and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and testing objectives.
• Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for new and existing applications.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, usability, regression, and performance testing.
• Accurately identify, document, and prioritise software defects and inconsistencies.
• Work closely with developers to troubleshoot, verify, and validate bug fixes.
• Create and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive bug reports and status updates.
• Participate in design and requirement review meetings to provide QA-related input.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in software testing.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and automation strategies.

Requirements:
Educational Qualification / Other Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are advantageous
• Experience with test management tools and version control systems is a plus
• Familiarity with Agile and iterative development methodologies
• Proficient in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Knowledge of various testing types (functional, regression, usability, etc.)
• Familiarity with testing tools and platforms
• Basic understanding of programming concepts and databases
